DEBBIE Indihar GIORDANO FOR MAYOR Trusted Experience To move milpitas forward!
NOVEMBER 8, 2016
Dear Milpitas Voters,
"The City of Milpitas is committed to accomplishing the community's vision by providing fiscally sound, superior services."
This is our city's Mission Statement and it has been the building block for the foundation of my service as your council member for the past 12 years.
I love Milpitas. My family moved here when I was 3 years old. I have been educated here, raised three daughters and one son here and now enjoy 4 grandchildren. My parents, Lud Indihar (93 years old) and Ad Indihar (92 years old), still live in Milpitas. We have accomplished much but there are big challenges ahead, and the voters deserve a clear choice about their next Mayor. I want to preserve the close-knit and diverse community where I grew up. But I also want to make sure that we meet our future challenges in a smart, thoughtful and cohesive way. I offer my experience, background and problem-solving qualities to make those coming decisions for you.
I am excited about so much that as been done or will be coming: BART will arrive in the Fall of 2017; the Parks/Sports Center renovations, new Senior housing, a joint school/park with the Milpitas Unified School District, affordable apartments/housing in Midtown, job growth, a balanced city budget and crime reduced by 6%.
As I complete my service on the Council, and ask for your vote in November for Mayor of Milpitas, it would be an honor and privilege to continue serving my community. I share your concerns about traffic, taxes, affordable housing, clean parks and most of all - keeping our city's balanced budget. Let's continue to keep the very best of our history while we adapt to our future challenges. I look forward to doing it with you and for you.
